Mt.Fuji viewed from Shichirigahama-beach

Mt.Fuji viewed from Shichirigahama-beach

Mt. Fuji crowned with pure white snow is towering beyond the finely rippling surface of Sagami Bay like a mythical all-knowing sage.

Far above the chilly azure sky, the silver clouds are lingering quietly, while shining radiantly in the afternoon sun of late winter.

A flock of black kites keep gliding soundlessly over the gently waving sea to intently seek for their precious food in the cold wind.

The pellucid sunlight of winter that brings such blue clarity of the seascape will soon be over, and the tender sun of early spring will dominate this world progressively.

Sunset at Shichirigaha-beach (viewed from Inamuragasaki cape)

The setting sun is coloring the every element of the evening seascape mellow amber.

In the pale sky enchased with somber gold clouds, a flight of sea cormorants are silently returning to their home.

A shadow of a person is standing alone on the deserted beach and gazing fixedly at the calm summer waves.

The faint pink glow of twilight has soaked into the subtle blue gradations of the summer evening sky.

Dark blue clouds are floating gently as if to be reluctant to disappear into the growing darkness.

A stillness is settling over this seashore gradually.

The winter seashore: at Shichirigahama-beach

In the golden glow of the setting sun, the waves washing the shore are sparking softly in the clear evening chill.

The biting wind of winter has calmed down finally and only the continuous sound of the sea is floating along the empty raven-black shore.

The glow of sunset is casting the moving shadow of waves on the glittering sands.

At the water's edge, the remainders of waves are sparkling like gold dust in the declining sun.

Mt.Fuji in the twilight (Shichirigahama-beach)

The twilight is tinting the midwinter sky with light cinnabar-red. The land and sea are finely colored in the subtle gradations of violet.

This lucid and peaceful landscape of Mt.Fuji is the precious gift of the dry and transparent chilliness of this season.

The evening sun: at Shichirigahama-beach

The dazzling sun is gloriously sinking behind the shadowy silhouette of the distant peninsula.

The calm surface of the cold sea is reflecting the evening glow as a long strip of golden sparkles.
